A fantasy game from Spain that goes over the top with creatures capable of all manner of wonderful and terrifying things.
Core Mechanics
Most rolls are 1d100 + Modifiers. On dice results of 90 or higher, the dice is rerolled with the result added to the first.
There’s numerous sub-systems for different supernatural abilities.
Quick and Dirty Character Creation
There are various random methods for generating stats; as well as a system of Advantages and Disadvantages to gain special perks and drawbacks. Most supernatural abilities require a certain Advantage.
You have so many points to raise your different abilities. Your class gives some bonuses to specific abilities, and determines both the cost of raising abilities, and how many points you may spend on a given ability.
What It Does Well or Interestingly
Every supernatural abilities has it’s own sort of sub-system, meaning each class provides a different experience based on what abilities it offers.
Potential Pitfalls
Numerous, stemming from the various formula and specific rules in each sub-system. Some follow easily identifiable patterns. Some don’t.
The included character sheet is also confusing to figure out.
Sections to Pay Attention To
Refer to the enemy writeup section to get an idea on what skill levels are appropriate for a given level. This goes a long way in figuring out what level certain abilities should be.
Final Thoughts
This is a very rules dense game, with a lot of specific rules. It’s not an easy read, and requires a lot of mathematics.
